Dramatis Personae

The Story So Far

At the behest of The Marshal, the adventurers arrived in Red Larch and met with Kaylessa Irkell, the proprietor of The Swinging Sword. After introductions, Kaylessa described their mission. They were brought together to locate and rescue or recover the members of the Mirabar Delegation which went missing two tenday ago. After discussing travel plans, they spent the night at The Swinging Sword and set out to the Red Larch market the next morning. After purchasing supplies, they set off for Beliard.

Just as they were leaving, a sinkhole opened up and swallowed the Irkell children. Several town elders tried to calm the assembled crowd and prevent anyone from going down into the cavern. On Yla's lead, they cornered Ulhro Luruth where he provided little valuable information other than a warning to not disturb The Delvers. Undeterred, the adventurers rappelled into the cavern and began their exploration beneath the town of Red Larch.

Strong Start

Current Day: 30 Tarsakh 1491 DR

The smell of death and rotting flesh fills your nostrils. Two giant rats screech and bare their fangs.

Grund, a half-orc, is surprised by your appearance behind him.

Meg and Sky start removing rocks to unpin Braelen. Grund warns them to stop then attacks.

Braelen explains that he was being punished for failing to deliver a message from his father, Elak, to Ilmeth Waelvur. He identifies the members of the Believers.

Baragustas explains that the other members killed the travelers after Larrakh helped the Believers interpret the moving stones.

The party follows the hidden tunnel out to Waelvur's Wagonworks.

Meet with Harburk

The party informs the constable about the Believers. The murders of the travelers and Baragustas' willingness to testify against the Believers. Admit to killing Grund, Larrakh, and the Bringers of Woe. Braelen's punishment.

The party informs Kaylessa.

The Bringers of Woe are itinerant laborers staying at Mother Yalantha's.

Road to Beliard

Fast = 44mi / 15mi / day = 3 days

While traveling, a few knights mounted on giant vultures fly overhead, in dull blue armor with a dirty white cloak.

The party meets with Halrud Ponden, the townmaster and chief lawkeeper. Halrud acknowledges that the Mirabar Delegation has been through here and shared news with him.

Hattie charms the townmaster after he refuses to divulge the news the delegation was bringing.

Halrud describes the Mirabar Delegation in detail and that there is an evil force locked in the dwarven ruins below the valley.
