Episode 5 - When the Lights Go Out, Part 2

The Awakened push on and enter a children's bedroom where they find three embalmed fey child bodies and another Asp corpse. The sobs of a scared child can be heard coming from beneath one of the beds and Lira reaches to comfort the child but the spirit dissipates. After collecting a few items from the room, the party returns to the grand hall once more to explore the final wing of the mansion. Their lights go out just before the front doors are broken down and an army of invaders spread out across the mansion. The heroes valiantly try to defend their position after retreating into the Hallway of Heroes but a single attacker breaks through their lines and enters the bedroom attacking the corpses. The attackers quickly retreat and the party finds themselves disoriented and on the floor of the grand hall.

Continuing on, the heroes begin climbing the tower at the rear of the mansion. When the reach the top they find, Elaron Celebar, a city guard and an Asp leader in standoff. Eventually the party is able to negotiate a truce and obtain the Dawn Ray and information about an nearby Asp hideout in exchange for escorting everyone safely out of the mansion.

Finally free of the mansion, the meet Lieutenant Edward Chiles, who has taken command of the guards in lieu of Captain Russo. They all travel to city hall where they meet the mayor of Dayton, Mr. Green. Lieutenant Chiles is promoted to the rank of Captain and the Dawn Ray is returned to its pedestal. Another guardsman, Lieutenant Thomas informs the mayor of the murder of Mr. Blue, another city council member.
