Simmah, a deva in the service of the Protector of All, has spent most of his time in this current incarnation as a scholar researching the event known as the Betrayal and how to restore the divinity of the Ithquenti. He stumbled upon the journal of Ketham Lorekeeper, a well-respected sage alive during the Betrayal. This discovery triggered a vision that led him to the Ketham Lorekeeper Museum in the free city of Kacorothi.

In the library's storage vault, Ketham worked with Emmeline, the Yoweth Svitrani of Kacorothi, Ralune Celebar, the museum's curator, and Orrick Beardfist, the museum's head of acquisitions, to locate four statues of Ketham's adventuring companions claiming them to be the real people petrified thousands of years ago. Emmeline removed the petrification and the heroes were Awakened from their slumber.

After much discussion and catching up, the Awakened agreed to join up with Simmah and his quest. Their little bit of information led them to hope to setup a meeting with the Stalking Dawn clan of the Catfolk and family to Néshira.

Later on, the Awakened met with Pounce and his associate, Luna, at the Grey Pause Tavern. They agreed to check out a rival guild's new base of operations and retrieve any written communications in exchange for a meeting with the Stalking Dawn clan of the Catfolk. Pounce began the process of setting up a meeting with the Stalking Dawn clan and directed the Awakened to head towards Fairport.
