DM Notes

No actual play, really just getting character creation going. Most everyone has an idea in hand and ready to build. A couple players have multiple ideas to fill out the party.

  • Sky, Fairy Wild Magic Barbarian
  • Widget, Kobold Artillerist Artificer
  • Virlen, Firbolg Celestial Warlock
  • Molly, Eladrin Glamour Bard
  • [Garrison] Peck, Aasimar Redemption Paladin

Our two flexing players settle into their characters.

  • Yla, Human Draconic Sorcerer
  • Megaera, Aasimar Vengeance Paladin

While discussing the campaign it becomes clear that Garrison isn't going to work very well. Princes of the Apocalypse is very heavy on the dungeon crawling and we'll be battling established cults. Violence is going to happen a lot and it will not be the last resort very often which is what the Redemption Paladin promotes. It's not that it can't work, but I express my concerns that it might not be very fun.

For me, the rest of the night is focused on helping Garrison's player find a new build while the rest fill out their character sheets. We eventually land on a Fathomless Warlock.
