Background

Among many towns along the Sword Coast, the name of Henrietta Lyyn is sure to be known – if not by acquaintance, then surely by renown. The bard's lively choruses spread like wildfire, their themes of frustration, scorn and vengeance more than familiar to the people of the Forgotten Realms.

To those having the pleasure of meeting Henrietta, many found themselves surprised by her warm congeniality, at odds with the fiery passion of her songs. 'Comforting', 'bubbly' and often just 'kind' were words commonly used to describe her manner. Though a few detractors might sometimes claim they found her 'odd', or even 'unnerving', these objections were quickly squashed by her sheer popularity.

Henrietta was already a rising star. Though still a newcomer to the stage, there was no doubt there was something unique about this minstrel, something almost otherworldly. The spotlight, for better or worse, had turned - and there was no way for her to escape it now.
